www.iplandequipment.com is very sensitive to the cost of shipping orders to our global customers and strives to be competitive. These very same costs impacts IPLE's's own purchasing power as well. As such, IPLE's offers shipping via UPS, FedEX and US Postal Service (USPS). Note that IPLE's reserves the right to use FedEX instead of UPS when inventory is being pulled from alternate locations where we have contracts with FedEX. If the customer wishes to have their order shipped via their carrier using their account contact our office to make such arrangements. The customer has the option to choose an appropriate shipping method for their order that meets their budget. These options are presented when in the shopping cart mode of order processing via a menu. For your convenience, the system will automatically select the lowest cost option for standard service. However, you have the option to over ride this choice and choose the method that best suits your needs.
Cost of Shipping::

Regardless of service selected, the following variables makeup the cost of shipping: weight, package dimensional-weight size, type of delivery service (ground/surface or expedited, insurance, receipt confirmation location (domestic, international) (zip code), handling, and imposed carrier fuel surcharges are the general elements. When the package size is ‘over limit’ (i.e., over the allowable size depending on destination as with certain computer tower cases), the minimum weight defaults to 30 pounds minimum unless the weight itself is over 30 pounds then it will default to the actual weight. Handling charges are included to account for the cost of boxes, packing material and pick-up/transport services. Note that IPLE's is environmentally conscious and will reuse boxes and packing filler as long as such packing will withstand handling. This has helped IPLE's to maintain competitive shipping costs.
UPS/FedEX/DHL/other services, i.e., USPS(see below):

IPLE's uses various shippers, such as: UPS and FedEX(and others) depending on which location we are shipping from. Keep in mind that we must abide by their rules and policies. They set the pricing. We do add a nominal handling charge to cover the cost of packaging and handling. Note that the cost of shipping is calculated on the basis of the customer's address and IPLE's address(19 Blandin Ave Framingham MA 01702) even though the order may ship from various other distribution points. IPLE's absorbs any additional shipment costs which may involve multiple shipments from multiple distribution points.

The primary benefit in shipping via UPS/FedEX etc. is that a unique tracking number is assigned to each package. On-line tracking is available at: http://www.ups.com) for example. The customer may also check that the ‘ship to’ info is correct. It is important to understand that UPS/FedEX etc. charges a premium for: packages going to a residential address and to remote locations. A remote location is defined as an address that is not on the current route. Most commercial addresses do not get charged a premium. A commercial address is one in which a business is established and the location is zoned commercial and that it is on the current route. Please understand that just by entering a company name located at a home address does not negate the residential charge. If this should happen, www.iplandequipment.com will charge the premium to the account. Note that UPS may make adjustments to ship charges depending on the cost of fuel. It is not unusual for the fuel surcharge to change on a daily basis when cost of fuel is changing daily.
www.iplandequipment.com has placed a link to UPS on the Home Page under the heading: “Additional Info” to assist in determining what an estimate of charges could be to a desired ‘ship to’ location. The reason why this is an estimate is that no handling charges are applied until the order is in the Shopping Cart. But it provides a convenient tool to assess various services and charges.
US Postal Service (USPS):

USPS offers very cost effective shipping solutions and is generally the most economical service for package weighing 1 pound and under. When shipping via USPS, no real-time tracking is available. While some expedited services, i.e., Express Mail, are processed with an assigned tracking number to each package, the USPS does not offer the ability to track the package(s) real time. The USPS does allow for checking the delivery status via an on-line computer. General info is provided once the item has been scanned in at another postal office, which will make the final delivery. No info is available in between. UPS does not ship to PO Boxes whereas USPS does.USPS offers very cost effective shipping solutions especially for packages weighing 1 pound or less and within their size requirements.
Other Services (DHL, FedEx, etc):

IPLE's will ship on another carrier at the special request of a customer who has an established account with that carrier. It is advised that in such cases that the customer contact IPLE's Sales at: (508) 820 4444 or send an email to: sales@iplandequipment.com.
Multiple Box Shipments and Tracking Info:

Multiple box shipments are incurred when www.iplandequipment.com ships from its different distribution points. The customer will not be charged a premium in this case. IPLE bears any additional charges for doing so. When an order involves multiple packages, each package will be assigned its own unique tracking number. Please note that different delivery times may be experienced. Multiple box shipments may also occur when it is safest to ship items in separate boxes. IPLE makes a judgment call when to separate items being shipped to avoid possible damage and to comply with the carrier’s guidelines. Most often this will occur when computer cases are shipped separately from heavy or large items, i.e., power supplies. The customer will be notified by automated email of their multiple tracking numbers.

International and APO Shipments:

The US Government does publish a list of restricted countries, companies and/or individuals in which case, www.iplandequipment.com cannot process the order.
Shipping Lead-times:

Orders are shipped the same day as received except if an item is out-of-stock or if the order is received too close to the carrier’s pick-up time. Note that delivery times are measured in business days. Expedited services lead-times, i.e., NDA, 2DA, 3DS, etc., may vary by carrier and delivery location. If the carrier chosen does not offer an expedited service, an automated message will appear at order check out. Sunday is not considered as a delivery day.
